In the summer months check out our events for 5K races, bike races, and golf tournaments. All year round find fishing tournaments and ski events. During the winter months catch a high school or youth hockey tournament or try hockey right on the lake! There is something for everyone year-round if you enjoy fitness and fun!

BIKING
The Grand Rapids, Minnesota area has over 100 miles of bike trails that you can ride all seasons.
FAT TIRE BIKING

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Northern Minnesota offers miles of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing. Take a peek at all of the trails the area has to offer.
CURLING
Itasca Curling Association is nestled in the Northwoods of Minnesota in Grand Rapids. We host youth & adult curling leagues and events throughout the winter season each year.
GOLF
Grand Rapids is home to three championship level golf courses known as the Grand Lakes of Golf. Each course is beautifully manicured with different degrees of difficulty.

Thunder in the Pines! The dirt track is located at the Itasca County Fairgrounds.

The Mt. Itasca Winter Sports Center is a beautiful ski and snowboarding center located just minutes from Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
TUBING
Mt. Itasca Winter Sports Center is a is the perfect place to grab a tube and check out the slopes.
WATER SPORTS
Many of our area resorts offer rentals so you can get out on the water, skiing, wake boarding, kayaking and more. Or bring your own boat and check out the lakes!

Rainy day on vacation? No problem! Hit the YMCA to grab your daily workout.
FRISBEE GOLF
Legion Park disc golf course provides a very challenging and scenic course. Scorecards are available on site, and discs are available to rent at the IRA Civic Center.
