Grand Rapids is home to three championship level golf courses known as the Grand Lakes of Golf Courses; Sugarbrooke Golf Course, Pokegama Golf Course, Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Each course is beautifully manicured with different degrees of difficulty. All have cart rentals and restaurants on site. Whether you want 18 or 9 holes, to take an extended vacation, long weekend, or just get in a few holes after work, Grand Rapids has many options, and won’t disappoint. Eagle Ridge Golf Course - Come out and follow the cart part on the course to watch the bald eagles soar over our 18 holes winding through the north woods, overlooking beautiful Trout Lake in historic Coleraine. When you are finished, come inside, and follow our new “cart path” to check out our new carpet and flooring and renovation to our bar. Find a table on our improved deck to enjoy our full menu and take in a great view of Trout Lake.
Pokegama Golf Course - Pokegama Golf Course welcomes you to our highly regarded 18 hole facility on the shores of beautiful Pokegama Lake. Choose from six different course length options from 4000 yards to 6,500 yards to fit your game. Golfers enjoy our quiet electric golf carts that are equipped with GPS to give you the distance from your ball to the hole. Our practice facility is second to none with a practice option for driving, iron play, pitching, chipping, sand shots and putting.

Sugarbrooke Golf Course - Have you ever played a golf course that made you cry tears of joy? A course that is challenging yet forgiving enough to ensure you want to keep playing golf for years to come? That’s us. Sugarbrooke Golf Course at Sugar Lake Lodge is a Joel Goldstrand design with two distinctly different nines. The front nine is open and widespread, while the back nine is carved right into the maple-lined forest. Sugarbrooke, named after the picturesque brook meandering through the 18th hole, boasts breathtaking views of Sugar Lake and lush vegetation throughout its 300+ acres. Our signature 18th hole brings you right to the steps of Otis’s Grill & Bar, serving a variety of locally brewed draft beers and an eclectic menu featuring everything from cheese curds to short ribs.
Blueberry Hills Golf Course in Deer River is also a short drive from Grand Rapids. They have dedicated themselves to being the friendliest golf course. Built by a small group of local business owners in the 1970’s, the course is set on rolling hills with stands of mature, native trees.
Swan Lake Country Club is a par 36, 9 hole golf course in Pengilly. This course serves the public as well as members, and also has a clubhouse with a full menu and bar, that serves as an event center and meeting place as well.
Quadna Hills Golf Course at Quadna Mountain Resort is a brief distance away in Hill City. The 9 hole course features the beautiful North Woods that is Hill City, and will be enjoyable for a golfer of any skill level. They offer carts and clubs for rent. The resort provides lodging should you decide to turn your golf trip into a weekend or overnight stay.
