The Weekend of Wheels has been happening for over 30 years in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. It draws tens of thousand of people to Grand Rapids every summer. The Weekend of Wheels is a combination of two event organizations that have partnered together to collaborate around vintage and muscle cars, parts, vintage, junk, and antiques. The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce features a three day swap meet where you can find everything from vintage car parts, antiques of all kinds and collectible junk items, and a car show. Their event called the Northern MN Swap Meet & Car Show, and always takes place the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July each year. The Northern Cruisers Car Club puts on a one day car show featuring all types and ages of cars (they give trophies to 1900’s to late models class), and their car show always takes place on the last Saturday of July. Free shuttles run between the two events all day Saturday.
Northern MN Swap Meet & Car Show
The Northern MN Swap Meet & Car Show takes place at the Itasca County Fairgrounds. The entire fairgrounds is taken over by vendors, and antique cars being showcased. There is over 500 vendors selling everything from high-end antiques, automotive vintage items, collectible junk, and more. There are many food trucks to choose from and breakfast is served on Sat and Sun from 8am-12noon. The Northern Swap Meet starts on the last Friday of July at 3pm. The vintage car show takes place on Sunday from 8am-3pm with over 100 cars. The event ends the last Sunday in July at 3pm. This event is family friendly, and free to attend. There is on-site parking available: $5 for motorcycles, $10 for cars, and $15 for campers, RV’s and trailers.
Northern Cruisers Weekend of Wheels Car Show
The Northern Cruisers Car Club hosts their Weekend of Wheels Car Show every year the last Saturday in July in Grand Rapids, MN. The show is held at the Yanmar Arena from 9am-3pm, and this event is FREE. A free will donation goes to a local charity. There are hundreds of street rods, customs, classics and late model cars at this show. It is open to the public and a FREE shuttle is available to the Northern Swap Meet & Car Show at the Itasca Fairgrounds all day on Saturday. Concessions and vendors are available on site.

Since tens of thousands of people attend these events, we suggest you book your lodging as early as possible.
