You’ll have two opportunities to enjoy live music and a cold drink at the street dance on Friday and Saturday! The street dance can be accessed through the beer garden. 5K Tall Timber Days Run
Take to the pavement and support Grand Rapids’ local YMCA! Everyone is always so cheerful at this morning event! The Tall Timber Days 5k starts at 8 am on Saturday, August 4th. You can pre-register at the YMCA until Friday at 5:00 pm. You can also sign up on the race day, starting at 7 am. The cost for the event is $30. Proceeds for the race are funneled into the local LIVESTRONG campaign through the YMCA. The first 200 participants for the race will receive a free shirt.
Arts & Crafts For All
This one is a highlight for almost everyone that attends! Visit the Arts & Crafts booths located on the Central School Grounds and see the amazing talents we have right here in our community. Artists and craftsmen will display and sell handmade jewelry, paintings, clothing, pottery, soaps, and more.
Once you have explored the craft booths, make sure to take a lap at the Teens & Tweens Craft Show, where young artists display their wide variety of crafting skills. They would love to be encouraged and supported by their local ecosystem to pursue their dreams.
True Timber Days Fashion
Tall Timber Days wouldn’t be complete without a Lumberjack show! On First Ave NW, stop by to see some Minnesota logging history at one of the Timberworks Lumberjack Shows at 11am, 1pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm.
Then, roll on over to the Media Lumberjack Competition and watch local media teams compete in logrolling, stacking, and sawing.
Hot Dog – A Pet Friendly Parade!
Are you an animal lover? Come out to the Pet Parade on Sunday, Aug 5th for fun with all different kinds of animals! The Pet Parade welcomes a multitude of pets and even encourages them to put on their best costume. Enjoy the parade and don’t forget to stick around for prizes at the end.
