Mark your calendars as we welcome you to join us in kicking-off our winter season in celebration!

The Deer River Chamber WinterFest, sponsored by Paul Bunyan Communications, is a collaborative community event with many businesses and organizations working to bring our community together as we approach our winter season.

9:00 – 1:00 Northern Star Market Place “Sip-N-Shop” event

10:00 – 7:00 Maggie’s Thrift & Gift will offer hot cider and cinnamon donuts to customers during the day and smore’s kits from 5:00-7:00.

Cinderella’s Closet will be open until 8:00 pm.

10:00 – 3:00 at King Elementary School
– Craft & Artisan Fair
– Visits with Santa
– ‘Festival of Trees’ silent auction
– Soup Luncheon
– Itasca County Sheriff’s “Fill the Boat” toy drive
– Cookie Decorating from 11:00 – 1:00

4:45 Christmas Tree Lighting at “The Big Fish”

5:00 – 8:00 Downtown (one-way street)
– Hay rides
– Santa’s Workshop
– Medallion Hunt by Lions Club
– Visits with Santa
– Itasca County Sheriff’s “Fill the Boat” toy drive
– Roasting Marshmallows, Hot Cocoa and Beverages, Carolers
– Daylily Gifts Pop-Up Shop at Forward Health Foundation
– Youth, Teen and Adult Activities
– Chili cook-off and holiday beverages at the Vet’s Club
