“Planting For Clean Waters” Workshop
The Resilient Yards + Shorelines Workshop covers fundamentals that Minnesotans need for protecting water quality near their home and community. Topics include: site assessments, types of upland and shoreline projects, plant selection tips, regulatory reminders, and more! This in-person workshop will take place at Rapids Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MN.
From 5pm-6pm, participants can attend a meet and greet with local native plant and shoreline experts and advocates. The workshop beginning at 6pm will include a 90 minute presentation given by Metro Blooms Design + Build staff, followed by an opportunity to ask site specific questions and get expert advice. Participants also receive resources that will guide them through the planning stages of their own shoreline project!
This workshop is being offered free of charge thanks to a sponsorship from the Lawns to Legumes Program. Donations will be accepted on the day of the workshop to support the Itasca Waters Native Plants program, in conjunction with the Grand Rapids High School Horticulture class. This Resilient Yards + Shorelines Workshop is hosted by Itasca Waters.
