Two strong and gentle draft horses will pull a wheeled trolley on a narrated tour of the Forest History Center. Our guides will describe the geology, the landscape, and the human history that make up our 180-acre site. You’ll visit the Mississippi River, our old Homestead ruins, our turn-of-the-century logging camp and river drive camp, and a 1934 Minnesota Forest Service cabin. At the end of the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to climb our 100-foot fire lookout tower for a bird’s-eye view of the Forest History Center. Participants will be seated on a covered, horse-drawn trolley.
Minnesota Historical Society Members and seniors save 20%, free for children 4 and under.
