Since 1990, Mike Kane has worked in the insurance industry and strives to provide the very best coverage for his customers. In 1995, he started Greater Insurance Service (GIS) and began his independent agency specializing in commercial insurance, emphasizing building contractors and forest products. GIS formed a partnership with the Grand Rapids Insurance Agency in 2003. In 2006, GIS acquired Grand Rapids Insurance Agency and combined the staff and services of both agencies. Greater Insurance Service now has a large staff of 12 fully licensed, highly educated agents. GIS is located on 169 South in Grand Rapids.
