Whether you are looking for a casual meal as you pass through Grand Rapids, an appetizer served with your favorite beverage, or a fine dinner with a glass of wine, the Forest Lake Restaurant truly does have something for everyone. Enjoy exceptional food, a friendly atmosphere and a magnificent view from our natural log building overlooking beautiful Forest Lake located in the scenic north woods of Grand Rapids, MN.

Since 1980, John and Deb Fredrickson have been a part of the Forest Lake Restaurant and welcome you to enjoy a delicious dining experience in one of their three distinct settings.

  • The Restaurant opens daily at 7am and serves a complete menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
  • The Lounge opens daily at 11am and offers the same full lunch, dinner and appetizer menu as the restaurant, but in a relaxed bar atmosphere. The menu is available Sunday–Thursday until 10pm and Friday–Saturday until 11pm.
  • The Downstairs Steakhouse is your choice for top quality choice steaks, fresh fish specials, broiled seafood and nightly Prime Rib.

You can enjoy the Forest Lake’s specialty—tender BBQ Ribs, basted in our house recipe BBQ sauce—in any dining area you choose!
