Grand Rapids, MN Fireworks
It is a long standing tradition that there are fireworks over Pokegama Lake on or around the 4th of July. Originally the fireworks were set off from Nesbitt Island (one of the large islands located in front of the Pokegama Golf Course). But now the fireworks are set off from the Pokegama Golf Course and shot over Pokegama Lake to the south sky.
The City of Grand Rapids, City of Cohasset, Harris Township, and Greater Pokegama Lake Association contribute to the cost of the annual fireworks.
