Experience the opulence and grandeur of days gone by at the Gilbert Mansion; the 1904 home of one of Grand Rapids’ founding fathers, William Gilbert and his family.  The home itself has remained virtually unchanged for more than a century.  As you enter through the massive front door surrounded by gleaming leaded glass, it’s as if you have been transported back in time. Completely furnished in period antiques, including many of the original owners’ items, the Gilbert Mansion provides an atmosphere unlike anything in the area.

You’ll begin each day with an elegant multi-course breakfast served on antique china in our beautiful dining room. A 24-hour snack and beverage bar and fresh home baked cookies are always available for your enjoyment, as well as complimentary wine, served daily. You’ll have access to your own spacious bedroom and bathroom, plus common areas; living room, formal dining room, parlor, large covered front porch and yard/gardens. Our Ballroom is currently undergoing renovation work and will soon be available to guests. 

If you’re traveling for business, each of our guest rooms has its own desk, and high-speed WiFi is available throughout the house and grounds.
