Hunt: The Chippewa National Forest and UPM Blandin Forest are top spots for ruffed grouse and deer during November and December.

Fish: Drill a few holes and drop a line — walleye, crappie, perch, and northern pike are biting.

Tip: The MN DNR recommends at least 5 inches of ice for walking and 6–7 inches for snowmobile or ATV travel.
