Have a touch of cabin fever? Can’t wait for fishing opener? Release your inner bargain hunter and explore 60 miles of community garage sales in northwest Itasca County! It’s the annual Treasures Are Fine garage sales on Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Over 80 sales are available at 35 locations. The route follows State Highway 6 through Bowstring to Talmoon and then county roads 4 and 29 through Spring Lake, Sand Lake, Squaw Lake, Dora Lake and Wirt. The route can be accessed from any direction: Deer River, Marcell, Bigfork, Blackduck or Northome. Some sales will also continue on Sunday: check the map for information.

The map will be available at stores along the route or online on Facebook @treasures6429 before the sale. Shown are locations and some of the big items shoppers can find, like tools, antiques, trucks, snowmobiles, metalcrafts, boat and gardening supplies. No one will go hungry! As well as local homemade jar and baked goods, shoppers can find cinnamon rolls, wood-fired pizza, sloppy joes and more at stores and sales along the route.
