Red Wing based musician, Lauren Pelon, traces the story of music from around the world. Featuring original compositions and arrangements of music from ancient Greece, medieval Europe, contemporary Africa, Middle East and more, as well as 25 unique instruments, this concert is a surprising showcase of Pelon’s versatility as a musician. Audiences from around the world have praised her relaxed and warm presentation style. Pelon was a 2001 “Artist of the Year” award recipient from the Southeastern Minnesota Art Council. She has performed on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” and at the Russian Institute for the History of the Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia.
