John Kerns plays at Unwined Up North. John is a versatile musician, songwriter, and producer known for his unique performances using guitars, foot percussion, looping pedals, and microphones. With a lifelong musical background, including a family steeped in music, Kerns has been teaching guitar and bass since 1997 and has composed for corporate clients. He served as Minister of Music at Spirit Garage church, leading worship bands and producing three original CDs. Kerns has worked with various bands and artists, including Jonathan Rundman and Natalie Lovejoy, and leads the rock band Kerns and the Hemispheres. He also created an original children’s album, “Cradlesongs,” and is involved in side projects like The Tree House Scholars, Sir Psycho (a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute), and ARK (Acoustic Rock for Kids).
