Fire in The Village is a collective of artists and cultural organizers based in Anishinaabe territory, rural northern Minnesota. We nurture connections through poetry, music, printmaking, storytelling, and dance, all centered on the well-being of our children and the earth.

Each of us holds a piece of aadizookaan, the sacred story. By gathering around fires, we remember our roles in this narrative and discover how our stories intertwine. Together, we create solutions beyond our individual imaginations.

Fire in the Village fosters art and culture to strengthen relationships and remind us of our power and connection to the earth. Our cultural teachings highlight that everything has spirit, linking us to one another and to ourselves. Transformation begins when we embrace this connection, igniting a spirit-fire that inspires others.
