You will find downhill ski trails at Mt Itasca and 240 KM of groomed cross-country ski trails that are well maintained.. Mt Itasca is a winter playground that offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snow tubing. Mt Itasca starts making snow around Thanksgiving. Open early December through late winter snow in March/April. Mt. Itasca also offers snow tubing.

MINNESOTA SKI PASS is required on all grant-in-aid trails. Our trails are maintained by the Itasca County Parks & Trail Department, Chippewa National Forest, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Trails & Waterways division, and the Northern Lights Nordic Ski Club.
