Wed & Sat Farmer's Market, 8a-1p @ downtown Grand Rapids.  Local produce by local farmers.
1-31 Cowhorn Crossing Pumpkin Patch open for the season. $4 general admission (children under 2 free). Corn maze, hay maze, petting zoo, hayrides.
1-31 Monthly Exhibit at the MacRostie Art Center:
5 First Friday of each month, 4-8p downtown. Visit galleries and meet artists in the downtown shopping district.
6 Boo-tique Craft Show, 9a-4p @ Nashwauk Recreation Building.  Crafts, lunch, Halloween decorations, Christmas gifts and ornaments, quilts, and more.
6 Sam Miltich & the Big Dipper Jazz Band, 7p @ Edge Center for the Arts/Bigfork; dancing in the pit; info: 218.743.6670
TBD Annual Kickin' Leaves Duathlon @ Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. 7:30a registration, 9:30a duathlon. 2.5 mile run, 10 mi bike ride, 2.5 mile run. Entry fee includes long-sleeve tee, $30 individual, $50 team.

18-19 BOW Firearm Safety Training - Family Event, 9a- 5p @ Itasca Gun Club. Family event for certification in DNR Firearms Safety program; children must be 11 or older. $15
26 Monroe Crossing @ Edge Center for the Arts/Bigfork; bluegrass music
31 Mall-O-Ween, 4-6p @ Central Square Mall; free & open to the public.
31 Halloween Bash, 4-7p @ Marcell Family Center. Candy, food, hayrides, balloons, bouncy tent, games, DJ music, bingo and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A free Children First event.

3 Firearm Deer Season Opens
3 Bambi on the Hood XI  @ Reif Performing Arts Center. Special entertainment for a female audience. Tickets $26 all seats. (Theater package available for this performance.)
3 Girlfriends Getaway Weekend.
Area-wide Craft Sales - It's a big deal!  Over 100 vendors, many locations around the town.
10 Itasca Symphony Orchestra, 7:30p @ Reif Arts Center; $12 adults, $10 srs, $5 students
24 Muzzleloader Deer Season Opens (through December 11th)

8 Christmas in the Logging Camp, 10a-3p @ Forest History Center.  Costumed interpreters re-enact the Christmas celebrations of early lumber camps. Horses and sleighs moving around the camp add ambiance to the program. $9 adults, $7 seniors, $6 children.
